INTRODUCTION
In the world today, we face greater insecurity and challenges than ever. Coping with them requires collaborative efforts of scientists, practitioners, and decision–makers. RACR conferences are biennial international meetings launched by the Risk Analysis Council of the China Association for Disaster Prevention. RACR conferences aim to provide an international forum for specialists and stakeholders in risk analysis, crisis, crisis in response, and disaster prevention. RACR-2011 will facilitate multidisciplinary collaboration among professionals in order to further contribute to risk analysis and crisis response, introduce advancement in research and practice, and help in the dissemination of knowledge.
CALL FOR PAPERS
Abstracts (no more than 300 words) and papers are invited for submission in any of the listed fields on CONFERENCE TOPICS. We strongly recommend electronic submission.
The official language of the conference will be English. All abstracts and papers MUST be submitted in English.

RACR-2011 will include a few special sessions dedicated to focused interest areas. Submissions of proposals on special sessions are invited. Papers from the special sessions will be presented at RACR-2011, and included in the proceedings, which will be published by an international publisher and will be indexed by ISTP.

The 19
th SRA Europe Annual meeting was held from 21
st -23
rd June 2010 at one of England’s oldest and most prestigious institutions - Kings College, London, UK.
Over 250 delegates from Europe, Asia, North America, Africa and Australia attended and participated in a full programme of individual papers and symposia during 8 parallel sessions. Delegates felt the full benefit of being located in the heart of London and the Conference Dinner was on the boat ‘Hispaniola’ moored in the shadow of the London Eye.

We are pleased to announce the winners of the two SRA-Europe Conference Scholarships 2010.
The winners are:
- Karen Boll, IT University of Copenhagen and the Danish Tax Authority
- Jörgen Sparf, Department of social sciences, Mid Sweden University.
During the business meeting of SRA-Europe at the Annual Meeting in London, the winners received their awards, each worth €500, out of the hands of the President of SRA-Europe, Ann Enander.

The website of the
local organiser lists some hotels, hostels and agencies that you might contact.
The postal code for the Waterloo Campus is SE1, so accommodation with this postcode should be not too far from the conference venue. Other postal codes that may be of interest are WC2 (near the British Museum), WC1, SW1 and W1 (in order of distance).
Please mind that accommodation can be difficult to secure in the peak tourist season.
